Here is what ACTUALLY happened. I spent most of my time and energy behind a local coffee shop stealing their internet trying to stalk other Yoga Business owners on the internet and on social media.

Then I took what they were doing, and what appeared to work for them- and I tried to mimic their offers (AKA copy what they were doing)

I spent HOURS watching YouTube videos and banging my head against my dusty old laptop trying to set up mailing lists, and landing pages (while simultaneously googling wtf those things were)

I made money, I had sales, and people bought my stuff.. but it was always only a few people... Then I would search for the next thing that would work, and it was back to banging my head on my keyboard while binging YouTube tutorials.

Until one day, I was volunteering at a Yoga Teacher Training in Costa Rica and one of the students asked for my advice. 

She told me how much she LOVED my classes (I had been helping & teaching classes at a local teacher training in Costa Rica in exchange for room and board since I was *broke AF*)

Honestly I was both in shock and honoured that someone

A: Thought my class was great, and

B: Wanted my ADVICE!?

THIS IS WHEN EVERYTHING CHANGED.

I gave her the best tips and tricks I had for sequencing, and pretty soon - everyone started coming to me for help.

I launched a training on sequencing, and later on my own Yoga Teacher Training with a special focus on sequencing. 

I filled my first training and made over $50,000.

the more I leaned into what made me unique. The more my business grew.

My social media following was small, and yet I did consistent 10K months, and 100K years to that SINGLE audience, all because I stopped trying to be someone else. 

I posted about the things that I loved, I taught the things that I loved - and people LOVED it.

When Covid hit, I doubled down and moved my ENTIRE business online. If I was banging my head on a computer before trying to figure out simple systems to run my business-  I knew I was in for a ROUGH ride.

It wasn't easy, but I did it. I officially had an online AND in person business, and those few years during Covid when companies were consistently letting people go? I was making more money in my business than I ever had before.
